Our friend celebrates 47 years of sobriety and spoke of being a “prisoner of alcoholic thinking” and how “ism (internal soul madness)”led him to the “dark night of the soul” which he describes as the “absence of God and fellow human beings”. He described getting through the darkness by taking his “spiritual antibiotics every day and when you put the inside in order, the outside would follow”.
