The ministry was started after seeing a disproportionate lack of spiritual support for families in crisis and . It offers support and help for anyone struggling with any addiction with a focus on familiy healing as when one family member is sick, the whole family is effected. The community joins in intercessory prayer while in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. The prayers last approximately 25 minutes, a guest speaker will give a 20-30 minute faith witness of hope and a light luncheon is served in the hall afterwards. The luncheon is more than just food for the body; it also provides a place where people can speak with the guest speaker and network with others. Many new found friendships have developed from this fellowship. It is a place where people “feel normal” and not alone. The pain of addiction can lead to seclusion and withdrawal from family members and friends with often self-imposed isolation at a time when supportive relationships are crucial. It is important to be sensitive to each individuals walk and to offer support by listening and being present. Our prayer gatherings bring a sense of community and great support. We understand that healing comes from our Divine Physician, Jesus. We lift our loved ones up to Him in prayer with confidence that He never leaves us unaided in time of pain and suffering.
